The difference is also in resolution, you can watch a low resolution logo on screen and it can still be good, but a low resolution when printed will look horrible.

Web 2.0 logos used for web, blogs portals forums etc.. basically they r for web pupose not much fro printing purpose.

for print logos u have to use mostly cmyk colors for better printing results.
for web logos u have to work in rgb colors for good looks n shiny material.
